Fire up the skewers — this one's gonna be festive!Join us for a hands-on cooking class inspired by the flavors of Japan, led by the talented Chef Heidi Blacker. From grilled skewers to umami-packed bites, this class is all about the joy of Japanese cooking — approachable, deeply flavorful, and genuinely fun to make together.
You'll roll up your sleeves and work through a menu that's equal parts technique and deliciousness, learning skills and flavors you'll want to bring back to your own kitchen again and again.
On the menu:
Onigiri — Tuna-stuffed rice balls with pickled ginger and furikake (GF, DF)
Yakitori — Chicken and vegetable kebabs with a Yakitori sauce (GF, DF)
Dengaku — Miso-glazed eggplant (GF, DF, V)
Pickled Veggies — A bright, tangy accompaniment to tie it all together (GF, DF, Veg)
This is a fully hands-on class held in our intimate kitchen studio at Watergrasshill B&B, designed for groups of up to 12. Guests will get to cook together, and enjoy their meal in a relaxed, social atmosphere. It's the kind of meal that's best shared — with good company, good food, and maybe a cold Sapporo or a crisp sake.
