Join the Alberta Walking Horse Association for an unforgettable multi-day group trail ride in one of Alberta’s most breathtaking backcountry destinations—the Ya Ha TindaWe will be camping August 13-16 (group rides on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) but people are welcome to come any or all nights
Nestled along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, Ya Ha Tinda is known for its expansive alpine meadows, river valleys, and stunning mountain views. This unique landscape offers riders the rare opportunity to explore wide-open terrain, winding forest trails, and panoramic vistas that feel truly untouched.
We will be based out of Big Horn Campground, located near the Red Deer River on the eastern boundary of Ya Ha Tinda Ranch.
Vault toilets available (bring your own toilet paper) & firepits available BUT must bring in our own wood.
High lines available; portable corrals made of metal are allowed in designated areas only (must be attached attached to trailer and only 10 ft out from trailer)
We ask riders who partake have an active AWHA membership but all breeds welcome!�•
