Overview
Tag Rugby competition for pupils who enjoy competitive sport and understand the basics of tag rugby. This is aimed at years 5 and 6.
Birkenhead Park Rugby Club are pleased to announce the expansion and development of a Community Rugby Partnership alongside schools and Merseyside Police. As part of the partnership programme, we are planning a series of tag rugby events to support the sport at the grassroots.
We are offering schools who have engaged over the course of the last couple of years two tournaments and then a place at the finals day. They will run very similar to the tournaments you would normally come along to. We have split the schools into two groups. Each group will attend two dates and then you will all attend on finals day.
Thisgroup is for pupils who have a good undeerstanding of tag rugby and enjoy comeptative sport.

Tuesday 17th March 2026 4pm-5:30pm
Finals Day- Wednesday 22nd April 2026 4pm-5:30pm

Year groups:5 and 6
M ixed teams with minimum of 2 girls
Intent: Develop confidence and competence within physical activity and sports skills.
Target group: Pupils who will enjoy competitive sport and competition
