About this Event
Join us for a joyful evening of music, connection, and discovery during Women’s History Month.
Y’all Gotta Hear This! is a community record listening party presented by A DJ Named President where music lovers gather to share songs they love, this month with a highlight on women. Guests are invited to bring a vinyl record and play one song by a woman artist that has inspired them, moved them, or stayed with them over time.
Together, we’ll spend the evening listening, learning about the stories behind the music, and celebrating the powerful contributions women have made to the soundtrack of our lives.
This event is part of the Black Lives Matter Grassroots Long Beach “Black Women Are Divine” campaign. The evening will uplift the voices, creativity, and cultural impact of women artists, especially Black women whose music has shaped generations.
Whether you bring a record to share or simply come to listen, you are welcome.
