XoXo Gallery presents "Sacred Matter: Reclaiming the Garden", a collection of ecofeminist and spiritual works that serve in resistance to the patriarchal systems that have glorified dominance over Earth and women. Through use of the body, botanicals, water, and mysticism, the works of Claudia Capelle, Meiyan Dong, Patricia Edwine Poku, Devra Fox, Julia Gould, Linda Plaisted, and V Walton shed light on the ever-present divine feminine, and the long-held history of women's connection to nature, life cycles, care, and horizontal power structures. "Sacred Matter: Reclaiming the Garden" explores how returning the feminine to the sacred restores the divinity in our bodies, in the land, and in the water, and can lead to a pathway towards social and ecological justice.
