Hosted by Bogus Gallery in the Old CopyCat Building we have a very exciting new type of Life Drawing to unveil!

Tickets are $35 presale - 2 for $50 or at the door they will be $40 each so get yours today and bring a friend to save money! All materials will be provided should you need any

Shibari Narratives & Life Drawing is meant ot be hybrid between a Shibari (Japanese Rope Bondage) performance/ scene and a collaborative art experience.

Doors open at 6:45 pm and the performances begin at 7:15

Kinbakuartistmiki

Kinbakuartistmiki's practices a non verbal style of Shibari / Kinbaku using body and rope as language. It can be described as the practice of improvisation, movement and communication of senses with the environment.
"My style of ropework communicates through the ropes, listens, and responds in the moment."
Studied Shibari / Kinbaku since 2016 under Murasaki Haruan (Yukimura ryu), Kasumi Hourai, Tenma Haru, Akane, and Iroha Suzuki in Japan. Kinbakuartistmiki has performed and hosted events & workshops throughout the USA

Xin

A multidisciplinary artist and MICA graduate whose art practice explores sex, gender and politics through humor. She transforms the ready-made objects, and plays with her body to make objects, performance and social intervention pieces. "My work is my reaction to my surroundings. I encounter myself in the World." Xin has performed with Kinbakuartistmiki since 2019 holding performances, workshops, and more together throughout the USA.

What to expect?

This is a curated event so be sure to try to arrive early so you don't miss any of the fun! There will be snacks and beverages available throughout the event. The art gallery opens at 645 pm that day so you are welcome to arrive anytime after then. All materials will be provided as needed, dont have charcoal pencils or paper? We will have them for you! you are of course welcome to bring your own materials as well. Free drinks and snacks will be provided!
