Speakers and Panellists


Gerald Teo, Senior Manager at Sony Design Center Asia

Gerald Teo heads the Communication Design Department at Design Center Asia (DCA) located in Singapore. He has handled creative and art direction for regional marketing campaigns, multi-disciplinary design for various touchpoints, and strategic research to identify global macro trends. Gerald believes strongly in inclusiveness by design, and that designers have a responsibility to create output that is accessible.



Wee Yongjun, Deputy Lab Director at Delta Research Center

Yong Jun leads solution development for Robot ventures, including AIDEN, an eldercare robot serving seniors in the heartlands. He is a passionate tech strategist focused on solving future challenges through engineering and technology today. He develops solutions at the intersection of Engineering, Empathy, and Enterprise. His goal is to create innovations that are intelligent, impactful, sustainable, and human-centric.



Alan Pek, Assistant VP at Deutsche Bank, President at HWA (formerly Handicaps Walthfare Association)

Alan has a diversity of experience and a proven history of working in the financial services industry. He was trained in Google Cloud Platform, Data Science, Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and IT Service Management and Strategy, and Risk Management. As a recipient of Goh Chok Tong Enable, Alan advocates, cares, and supports the PwD community. He is also part of the Advisory and Governance Board, The WorkforceX HR Powerbank, Human Capital Singapore, promoting Inclusive Hiring.



Jeremy Lim, CEO at LEAPTech, Founder at Never Alone

Jeremy is a business strategist who helps companies expand and grow in Singapore and Asia, Jeremy is also the Board Director and Technology Advisor of Lions Home For The Elders, and Council Chairman of

Lin Chamber of Commerce Singapore. He is an advocator and practitioner in revolutionising technology which includes AI and robotics in eldercare, healthcare and social service sector.



Chong Kwek Bin, Technology Analyst at SG Enable

Before Kwek Bin joined SG Enable, he was the Head of Braille and Library Services, Employability & Employment and Advocacy at the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped. His roles included engaging various parties for the creation of a more accessible and inclusive world for the visually impaired, as well as overseeing communications for the organisation, job placement and training efforts for the visually impaired at the Association. He had also provided IT training and support to the visually impaired.



Lee Seow Ser, Community Advocate, Project Lead of To SIR (Socially Inclusive Reads) With Love

Seow Ser, formerly a legal advocate, is now a community advocate and author. She co-founded “To SIR (Socially Inclusive Reads) With Love”, a 2025 President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards finalist (Communities of Good, Groundup category). Using creative arts and experiential programmes, she fosters empathy and social inclusion. Her book “Sima Guang and the Giant Jar”, with braille, tactile pictures, and dyslexia-friendly font, was a 2017 IBBY Outstanding Book for Young People with Disabilities. She has a Social Entrepreneurship Specialist Diploma and trained as an intervenor to support deafblind individuals.

Through examples across entertainment and consumer electronics, the presentation will show how accessibility considerations are embedded into the design and development process to enhance usability and enjoyment for all.

Designing an Inclusive Robotic Solution for Ageing Well in Place

Info: AIDEN, an inclusive robot, empowers seniors to age in place, tackling eldercare challenges in Singapore’s ageing society. Developed by Lions Befrienders and Delta Electronics Singapore, AIDEN has been deployed for over two years in public housing, delivering meals, medications, and check-ins. Its autonomous elevator riding, contactless operation, and modular design adapt to HDB flats, ensuring minimal disruption while enhancing accessibility and dignity. By avoiding costly retrofits, it reduces environmental impact. Cross-disciplinary collaboration, blending engineering, social work, and geriatric expertise, shaped AIDEN’s empathetic design. Tested in Queenstown and Tampines, AIDEN showcases how technology and empathy create a caring, inclusive future.

Info: AI (Artificial Intelligence) - generative as well as robotics, enable and empower persons living with disabilities to live or/and work independently, thus promoting inclusiveness. However, AI is still evolving and has “hallucinations” and biases. Alan will share perspectives on what and how AI may (or may not) make our world more inclusive.
