While no alcohol sales means most venues have the night off, we figured what better way to spend Easter Friday than warming up the sound system, the dance floor, and our tastebuds 💃🏼🍎🍇
We have three fine femme selectors visiting Ōtautahi easter weekend, and they're ready to lay down the vibes ✨
First, about XCHC / our kaupapa.
XCHC is a clubhouse for creatives. How it goes:
"Hey, it would be fun if we could have an alcohol free night for people who don't drink or find the bar environment intense.. a place I could just pay $20 and hang out all night, meet people, drink a tea, dance, or just listen to the music".
Viola.
Now, what to expect:
🍎 THE MUSIC
~ SORCHALULA ~
DJ & Producer Sorchalula weaves sounds from slinky sensuality, to fierce filth. Every set features her original tracks; entwining beauty with bravery, sinuous melodies with hefty bass, lush peaks with decadent darkness. A recognizable sound and figure having played at many of the top festivals across Aotearoa.
~ THE SHADY LADY ~
Get ready to get down. We first met this shady lady at Ignition this year when she stepped up to the decks 7am Sunday morning (shout out bubbles & bass 🍾) and lead with "I wanna see all my honies on the front of the dance floor".. the following 2 hours were what I would imagine a John Wick workout would be like if it was Just for your thighs...
~ POPPA SQUAT ~
This workout is in fact also a triliogy.
This hip-hop is a singular squad of squat.. it's in the name.. you do the math. This artist brings the hottest of 🍑 popping hip-hop gurenteed to get you low.
No filter, only filth.
All bass, no bullshit.
And to the guys in the room.. intimidation is ok. Maybe save your therapists number on speed dial.

No alcohol. No problem
Easter Friday means no liquor sales. The bar is serving all alterntaives; blue lotus tea, cacao, hot drinks, mocktails, karmaceuticals, and fresh fruit all night.
We'll provide the platters, the forbidden fruit was always meant to be shared.
🍎 DRESS CODE: Temptation, or Pajamas ✨
Lingerie and lace, or Sheer and shimmer.
Skin and confidence, Harnesses and heels?
Or just something soft and comfortable.
There are no wrong answers.
All bodies, all genders, all expressions welcome.

Forbidden Fruit is a strictly judgement-free and pro-consent space.
A space of expression, not spectation.
