About this Event
Join us the second Saturday of every month in 2024 for FREE activities with artists from the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning. Separate sessions for children in grades K-2 and 3-5. Each class will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Join us every month or pick and choose the topics of interest for your child. Class sizes are limited and registration is required for each session.
November's classes celebrate the Day of the Dead with skulls and skeletons. See descriptions for each session below:
Saturday, November 9

K-2nd Grade: Day of the Dead Skulls with Mark Yasenchack
After discussing the nature of abstracting and animating the human face, students explore the traditions, and cultural and social importance of the Day of the Dead festivities. Each student creates a skull face from a lump of clay.
3rd – 5th Grade: Science Lively Skeletons with Wendy Mahon
Students will learn about bones and the body while creating their own skeleton to take home.
