The annual Wylie Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting usher in the holidays on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 6 pm, in Historic Downtown Wylie. The parade marches down Ballard Avenue at 6 p.m., followed by the Tree Lighting in Olde City Park, which features Mayor Porter's traditional reading of The Night Before Christmas and a performance by the Wylie High School Tempo Choir.

The Parade and Tree Lighting is a community event sponsored by the City of Wylie, The Cross Church, Wylie Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Merchants Association.
