WYIF - Women in Manufacturing and Engineering

Designed to inspire and inform, the day offers a unique opportunity to explore innovation, share ideas, and build partnerships for the future. Attendees will hear expert talks on engineering innovation, new product development, and sustainability, gaining a deeper understanding of the trends shaping the food industry. The program also features a dynamic Women in Manufacturing and Engineering Network panel discussion highlighting women’s contributions to innovation in manufacturing and engineering, followed by a networking lunch to develop meaningful connections.

The Women in Manufacturing and Engineering Network (WiMEN) was launched by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority in June 2025. WiMEN aims to drive forward the manufacturing and engineering sector in West Yorkshire, promoting inclusive economic growth by increasing representation and inspiring future generations.

WiMEN provides a collaborative and supportive space for women at all stages of their careers to share experiences, exchange insights, and champion opportunities within the sector. Through this platform, the network seeks to attract more women into manufacturing and engineering - industries that are central to driving economic growth and innovation across West Yorkshire.
