War & Peace: A Movies-Based Youth Experience
Learning from WWII for a Peaceful Tomorrow
History. Humanity. Choices. Consequences.
WWII through cinema. Real stories. Deep reflection.
Decode war. Question silence. Awaken conscience.
Build empathy. Choose peace. Shape future.
Preview Session: 8th May | 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM
What does it really mean to live in a peaceful world?
And more importantly — what does it take to create one?
We often think of World War II as something distant — a chapter in history books, a few names, a few dates. But beneath those pages lies a powerful human story of choices, consequences, courage, silence, and survival. And somewhere within that story are questions that matter deeply today.
This unique, immersive movies-based workshop preview invites young people to step into that story — not as spectators, but as thinking, feeling world citizens.
Through carefully curated film excerpts, guided reflections, and meaningful conversations, this 3.5-hour experience will gently open up a space to explore:
• How ordinary societies move towards conflict
• What happens when humanity is replaced by division
• Why silence and indifference can be as dangerous as violence
• And most importantly — what role we, as youth today, play in shaping the future
This is not a lecture.
This is not a history class.
And this is definitely not just a film screening.
It is a thoughtfully designed space where you can pause, reflect, and engage — with ideas, with others, and with yourself.
Whether you are someone who enjoys films, cares about global issues, or simply wants to understand the world more deeply — this experience will speak to you.
What to Expect in the Preview Session (May 8):
Powerful, real film moments (WWII-based)
Insightful facilitation (not heavy, but thought-provoking)
Open, respectful group sharing
Personal reflection — not forced, but invited
By the end of the session, you won’t just have “learnt” something —
you’ll likely carry a question, a feeling, or a perspective that stays with you.
