About this Event

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EVENT:
This route starts at the Residence Inn parking lot and takes you on a narrow trail through County Grounds Park, Sanctuary Woods and around a small pond. This is considered an easy hike, with a distance of 3.1 miles with 104 ft of elevation gain. It is a loop hike.

FOR HIKING EVENTS:
Due to local guidelines, and in accordance with Leave No Trace Principles, Women Who Explore limits the number of attendees for hiking or outdoor events. To make sure we are following local guidelines, every attendee must register through Eventbrite. In the event you successfully register, and then are unable to attend, please release the ticket so that another member may attend. WHAT TO BRING:
Read more about the 10 Essentials HERE. As this is an easy loop hike close to where cars are parked in a populated urban area, it is unlikely you will need a full dayhike kit. Please bring:
• Drinking water
• Trail snacks
• Dress warm & in layers. Consider wearing a base layer & bringing an extra.
• Warm gloves & hat
• Rain coat top layer
• Shoes with good traction
• A light backpack to put layers in as you shed them
• Handwarmers & toe warmers (optional)
• Headlamp or flashlight
• Personal hygiene kit

Please be mindful of other members attending the events. If you have developed cold or flu-like symptoms leading up to the event, please cancel your spot in Eventbrite and notify the ambassador hosting the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
