Room capacity is limited to 9. Please be sure to grab your spot through Eventbrite.🎟️ WHAT TO BRING? Your life jacket, kayak (or canoe), weather appropriate clothing & shoes, and drinking water.
✏️ MISC. DETAILS: There is always a chance of a last minute event cancelation if the weather is bad.
There is a parking lot right by the launch for those of you bringing your own. I will be there in a hyper-green Jeep Renegade.
We will be launching at 6:00, so late attendees may be kayaking on their own.
Kayaks are available to rent through Fargo Parks & Rec for 1 hour until 8:00 pm. Please plan your return to shore accordingly since we may still be on the water longer than 1 hour.
Kayaks rentals are $10/hour and are rented on a first come, first serve basis. The kayaks are 10-foot kayaks that weigh 41 pounds. These kayaks are rated for the average user. Due to weight restrictions on these vessels, no one over 275 pounds is allowed in the kayaks.
Renters portage the kayak on the trail from the rental building to the kayak ramp on the Red River. Renters are responsible for returning the kayak to the rental building to complete their rental.
