Wurth Electronics UK's Field Application Engineers, combined with the engineers of Eurofins Electrical & Electronics UK, will present on an array of topics, including selection and implementation of isolation and protection components, practical compliance and identifying and containing noise using housing, grounding and PCB solutions.
Wurth Electronics are one of the leading manufacturers of electronic and electromechanical components in Europe. With sales organisations in 43 countries and 16 production facilities across the globe, they guarantee complete design-in support, samples free of charge and delivery of their components anywhere in the world. Their team of local Regional Business Managers are always on-hand to provide both technical and commercial support, with Field Application Engineers also available to support your design.
Eurofins Electrical & Electronics UK provides compliance, certification and product testing services for manufacturers, retailers and product designers of electrical and electronic products. From a simple review of a Declaration of Conformity to a complete, in-depth, ongoing compliance strategy for a range of products, they help you deliver compliant products to market, ensuring your products have the correct information, labelling and technical documentation to meet the needs of your customers, regulatory authorities and importers alike. Their testing services include Global Market Access, EMC, Wireless and Safety testing, Machinery safety, inspection & certification, test equipment calibration, Global Hazloc certification (including ATEX/IECEx), IP/IK testing and environmental/performance verification.

Practical Compliance - Part 1 (Eurofins Electrical & Electronics)
This presentation provides an overview of product compliance, starting with the distinction between testing and compliance and clarifying what compliance really means. It explains the role of regulations, standards, and directives, how to determine which apply to your product, and the key steps and responsibilities involved in delivering a compliant product. It also explores how compliance requirements are evolving, covering emerging topics such as GSPR, battery regulations, cybersecurity, and digital product passports, as well as the implications of UK versus European frameworks, including the relevance of UKCA and CE marking for the GB market. Finally, it highlights how effective compliance can be used as a competitive advantage and as a pathway to accessing global markets.
EMI can be shocking! Selection and implementation of isolation and protection components. (Wurth Electronics)
Today’s EMI environment is a challenging place, especially with lower operating voltages and higher data rates which can lead to issues when exposed to EMI overvoltage’s such as ESD and Fast Transients. This presentation will look at overvoltage protection and digital isolation components with regards to selection and implementation, in applications such as RS485 and USB C.
Practical Compliance - Part 2 (Eurofins Electrical & Electronics)
This session focuses on the administrative and documentation aspects of product compliance, explaining key elements such as CE marking, the Declaration of Conformity, and the Technical File. It clarifies the role of test reports, the risks of using incorrect standards, and the differences between harmonised and non-harmonised standards from both legislative and practical perspectives. It also highlights often-overlooked areas such as product and packaging labelling, rebranding and dual branding, and the importance of keeping documentation up to date as regulations evolve. Finally, it examines how compliance can go wrong in practice, using real-world examples to illustrate common mistakes and the importance of ongoing horizon scanning and review.
Shielding from the Dark Side of the “EMI” Force. Identify and contain noise using housing, grounding and PCB solutions (Wurth Electronics)
The use of conductive or magnetic shielding material can have a significant impact on EMI performance. This, coupled with the potential for late stage introduction into the design, makes these an attractive solution. We will discuss the available components and their characteristics as well as the quick solutions that can be used.
