– After making us both laugh and dance equally as hard at July 2024’s First Thursday concert, NYC’s Fantastic Cat returns to the Canton Waterfront stage to perform songs from their new album, Cat Out of Hell. Dubbed the “Wu-Tang Clan of folk rock” by The Village Voice, this New York City supergroup features four acclaimed singer-songwriters who trade lead vocals and swap instruments mid-set. They bring an unrepentantly joyful energy, sharp wit, and loose, rollicking Americana harmonies reminiscent of The Band and The Traveling Wilburys.
– Hailing from Oxford, Mississippi, five friends formed a band in 2020—blending together their favorite genres–indie-rock, bluegrass, and punk– to create a sound they call “canyon rock.” They call themselves HAPPY LANDING. They’ve built a quick following due in part to their explosive “stomp-and-holler” live shows where captivating harmonies, folk storytelling, unabating drive, and southern rock spirit collide in real time. On Big Sun, that foundation stretches and sprawls, carrying the band into their most fully realized form yet.
– A concoction of dark wave, art rock, post-punk, dance, and psychedelic jam with Baltimore flair is Seven Teller. Buckle in for a unique sonic journey that takes you through slightly familiar sounds reminiscent of the past while completely fresh at the same time. The brainchild of Sam Cochran, Seven Teller is expanding the norms by creating music that’s reminiscent of acts like LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads, and CAN, while still performing live shows that showcase deep improvisation, referencing their roots in the jam scene and early influences like Phish and Lotus.
