Join Dr Freddy Hedley from WTC Theology and Peter Burton, Pastor of Emmaus Road, for a day of considering the Theology of Worship, hosted by Emmaus Road.
There will teaching, a time for discussion and ministry
The day starts at 10 am for worship and will close by 4 pm.
There will be a lunch break, where you can either bring along your lunch or there will be the chance to pick up some lunch locally.
The cost of the event is £10.

Peter Burton
Pastor, Emmaus Road, Guildford.
Peter first arrived in Guildford from Northern Ireland in 2011 to study at the Academy of Contemporary Music. A world-class musician, he spent most of his twenties touring and recording as a guitarist with many great worship artists. It was whilst on a gig in Canada that he met Andrea, to whom he is now married, and they have three young children, Willow, Xander and Isla. As well as an honours degree in music, Peter has a Master’s degree in Kingdom Theology from WTC Theology. He is passionate about helping people engage deeply with God through Scripture, and embedding spiritual disciplines into their daily lives.
Freddy Hedley, PhD
Dean of Studies, Old Testament
Freddy is Dean of Studies and teaches Biblical Studies, with a specific focus on the Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew. He holds a BA in History and English Literature, a PGCE in History, an MA in Kingdom Theology, and he gained his PhD in Hebrew Bible at King's College London in 2022. Prior to working full-time with WTC he was the Director of Fountain School of Theology in Norfolk, UK. His research interests include: Hebrew poetry, especially lament poetry; exilic biblical literature; and the theological traditions of creation and covenant. He is the author of 'The God of Page One' (2012) and 'The Colossian Image' (2016)
