This training is brought to you by funding support from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Region 9. Priority Registration will be given to water utilities personnel working on Tribal lands located in the USEPA Region 9 geographic area (including the states of AZ, CA, and NV). Training course size is limited, and a General Admissions Waiting List is available for Tribal utilities personnel that work outside of the USEPA Region 9 geographic area.
This course covers Level 1 Water Treatment (WT-1) facility operations. Course topics include water sources and quality, treatment processes, disinfection, laboratory analysis, worker safety, math, the Safe Drinking Act, and more.
Blended Format: This comprehensive, certification preparation course will use a Blended format, which means it consists of two sequential parts:
(Part 1 is live on-line) and (Part 2 is in-person).
The in-person Part 2 picks up where the virtual Part 1 ends. Part 2 will not review Part 1. Part 2 includes free certification exam sessions.
Part 1 meets: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (On-line)
Dates: February 10, 12, 14, 19, 21, (in 2025)

Location: ZOOM
Part 2 meets: Monday through Friday (In-person)
Dates: February 24-28, 2025
Times: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Local Time)
