What You'll Learn


This qualification provides a fantastic all-round product knowledge. By the end of the course, you'll be able to:

  • Taste and describe wine with confidence using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT®).
  • Understand how environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking, and maturation affect the style and quality of wines.
  • Identify the key characteristics of wines made from over 30 principal grape varieties.
  • Explore the major wine-producing countries and regions of the world.
  • Understand the processes for making sparkling, sweet, and fortified wines.
  • Confidently decode wine labels and understand key terminology.
  • Learn the basic principles of food and wine pairing.



Course Structure & Dates


This intensive course consists of three full-day Monday classes, with the exam held on the fourth Monday.

  • Start Date: Monday, 19th January 2026
  • Full-Day Classes: Three consecutive Mondays from 9:00 AM (Jan 19, 26; Feb 2)
  • Exam Date: Monday, 9th February 2026
