About this Event
We are delighted to offer a monthly series of Romance focused events to take place on the second Wednesday of every month. With a variety of events and many exciting authors in store, London Loves Stories will be a yearlong celebration of everything love and literature can offer!
Join us for a fateful and starry evening with fabulous authors Lucy Vine, Laura Wood and Kirsty Greenwood, as they celebrate the publication of their novels Date with Destiny, Under Your Spell and The Love of My Afterlife. They will be in conversation with Claire Gardner.
Lucy Vine is a brilliant author, a decent journalist, and a big fan of Oxford commas. She's the bestselling author of novels; Hot Mess, Are We Nearly There Yet?, Bad Choices and Seven Exes. Hot Mess and Are We Nearly There Yet? have both been longlisted for the Comedy Women In Print book award. Her latest novel, Date with Destiny, follows Ginny who, sixteen years ago, crossed paths with a psychic who made some key predictions about her thirty-second year.
Laura Wood is a bestselling author of The Agency for Scandal series. Her novels have been shortlisted for the Sainsbury's Children's Book Awards and the Blue Peter Book Awards, the YA Book Awards, and the Romantic Novelist's Association Awards. In Laura’s debut adult novel, Under Your Spell, Clemmie and her sisters revive a childhood ritual after a bad break up, and don’t think anything of it – until things start getting messy. When it comes to love, Clemmie is learning you should be careful what you wish for.
Kirsty Greenwood is an internationally bestselling author of funny, fearless romantic comedies about extraordinary love including Big Sexy Love and Yours Truly. Kirsty’s highly anticipated new novel, The Love of my Afterlife, is a wildly entertaining, swoon-worthy tale of a recently deceased woman who's offered the chance to go back to Earth and win back her past life and find the ridiculously hot man she just met. The catch? She’s got to convince him they’re soul mates, she’s only got ten days and he doesn’t ever remember them meeting.
Claire Gardner has books in her blood and tattooed on her skin. With a librarian mother and libraries as one of her first jobs, the book world has always felt like home. When she rejoined the library service in 2020 she used her business and networking skills and began interviewing authors about their books. She consistently enables authors to think about their books in a different way and prides herself on never asking ordinary questions!
