We are delighted to welcome local author Rebecca Stonehill to the Library for a series of writing workshops called ‘Writing The River’.
No previous writing experience is needed - all are welcome.
Please let us know if you have accessibility concerns, thank you.
Session 1 Tuesday 5th May 1:30 - 3pm
‘Writing the River’ begins - join the first workshop of this trilogy as author Rebecca Stonehill takes you on a journey of discovery inspired by a local river, the Mermaid.
You will be supported to create some writing, prose or poetry, during this first session.
Session 2 Tuesday 12th May 1:30 - 3pm
Meeting at the river at the green area of Dunkirk (near the Industrial Estate), you will be led by Rebecca to visually and audibly explore the location.
The group will retire to the Library to enhance their draft writing after their shared first hand experience at the river.
Session 3 Tuesday 19th May 1:30 - 3pm
The author will talk about her latest book and the inspiration behind it. There will be the opportunity to purchase signed copies of the book at this time.
You will also be invited to perform some of your own river-inspired writing that you have created.
Please note there is a single £3 fee for the set of three sessions.
Fee payable at the first session - thank you.
Booking is essential, please contact the Library on 01263 732320
We look forward to welcoming you and hearing your version of ‘Writing The River’.
