The Writing Intensive Curriculum (WIC) Program will host a two-day intensive workshop Wednesday, May 27 (9am-2pm) and Thursday, May 28 (9am-2pm). Eight faculty will receive a $500 stipend for participation. Breakfast is included.
The workshop is open to faculty who do or will teach a W-I, W-II, and/or W-III course in the general education program at Salem State University. This workshop will cover a variety of topics related to writing instruction including: teaching writing conventions; teaching students how to write for different purposes and audiences; providing productive feedback on student writing; facilitating peer review; composing effective writing assignments; thinking about the role of AI in writing courses, and using writing to support learning.
