Please join us on Saturday, December 13 at 12 p.m. at the Waxhaw Southside Cemetery to celebrate the Wreaths Across America event (Directions).
Held every year on the third Saturday of December at noon, the Town of Waxhaw joins thousands of others attending ceremonies and laying wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery and cemeteries around the world. National Wreaths Across America honors those whose commitment to preserving our freedoms far surpassed their own desire to enjoy it. Wreaths are placed by gravestones on this day, acknowledging the ultimate sacrifice in that each soldier has made.
The Town of Waxhaw participates yearly by conducting a ceremony and placing wreaths on the gravestones of nearly 200 veterans in the Southside Cemetery.
