Join the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park to a have a go at the traditional craft of wreath making. Forage your own materials and learn some basic techniques whilst enjoying the beautiful setting of our historic cemetery and nature reserve. This class will last approximately 3 hours and there will be complimentary mulled cider (or apple juice) and mince pies/other festive snacks available - please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you have any special dietary requirements and we will do our best to cater to them. Please bring secateurs and gardening gloves with you if you have them (we'll be able to provide them if you don't have access to any) and any extra embellishments you might like to add like fairy lights or extra special ribbons and decorations
This is a fundraising event to support the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park in their work maintaining and celebrating our historic cemetery and nature reserve.

ON THE DAY
1) Please arrive on time and go to the meeting area: the Cemetery Park Lodge (on the left as you enter via our main gates on Southern Grove E3).

Access statement
This is an accessible, inclusive wreath making class. The maximum number of participants for each class is 12.
The event includes a short walk to gather plant materials for your wreath making. We will be working both inside and outside, undercover, so please dress for the weather.
The Cemetery Park Lodge is wheelchair accessible but please get in touch if you have any specific needs. If arranged in advance a motorised vehicle could drive onto the site but there is no general parking at the Cemetery Park. There is on-street parking in the nearby area.
Please contact us with at least 2 weeks’ notice if you’d like BSL or other interpretation/translation and we will do our best to facilitate. Sadly we have no interpreters or translators available in-house.
Accessible disables toilet facilities are available. There is no adult changing table or hoist.
We are able to offer baby changing facilities and we can provide a private space for breastfeeding on request.
If you require prayer space during the event please let us know and we'll make a quiet space available for you. All snacks provided will be vegetarian, however please note that alcohol will be served at this event.
We aim to make our events as accessible as possible and are learning constantly how to do this better. Refund policy: If you tell us that you want to cancel your ticket, we will only give you a refund if you give a minimum of 72 hours notice before the start of the event.
