Each year, Marine Barracks Washington supports the Commandant of the Marine Corps with a wreath-laying parade and 26 individual ceremonies across the National Capital Region. These events commemorate the sacrifices made by Marines throughout our nation’s history as part of the Marine Corps’ 249th birthday.
We invite you to join us for this solemn ceremony at the Marine Corps War Memorial, featuring "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band, "The Commandant's Own" Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, the official Marine Corps Color Guard, four platoons of ceremonial marchers, and a ceremonial firing party.
This powerful tribute is a unique opportunity to experience the honor, pride, and dedication that define the United States Marine Corps. All are welcome to attend and honor the legacy of Marines, past and present.
