About this Event
The WOWFest Community Chorus and Bristol Classical Players will perform the mighty Carmina Burana, an epic work for choir, symphony orchestra and soloists written in 1936 by German composer Carl Orff. Based on a collection of medieval poetry, Carmina Burana is most famously known for its powerful opening chorus, O Fortuna.
Preliminary pieces will be performed by the Haydn Youth String Orchestra visiting from the Netherlands.

WOWFest was created in 2018 by The International Music Exchange, Wells under the patronage of local celebrity conductor to bring music and musicians to the beautiful medieval streets of Wells. WOWFest strives to provide superb concert opportunities and an unforgettable cultural experience for performers and audiences alike.
