Woven Together: A Tribute to Legacy and CraftPresented by HW Home
Date: September 4, 2025
Time: 5:00–7:00 PM
Location: HW Home – Cherry Creek, 239 Detroit Street, Denver, CO 80206
Step into an evening where art and memory intertwine. HW Home is honored to present “Woven Together”—a curated exhibition celebrating the powerful, poetic legacy of Fernando Bengoechea and the woven photographs that made him a design icon.
In partnership with Marcelo Bengoechea and curator Pam Sunderman, this intimate event brings Fernando’s work back to life—literally woven by hand through the loving hands of his brother, Marcelo.
After Fernando’s untimely death in the 2004 tsunami, Marcelo made a promise: “I accept my brother's death, but I do not accept his art dying with him.” Now, he continues Fernando’s legacy from The Studio at Fernando Bengoechea in California, reviving his brother’s vision one thread at a time. Each piece is a silent collaboration—Fernando behind the lens, Marcelo at the loom.
Guests will enjoy light bites and beverages while exploring this curated installation at HW Home, where a selection of woven photographs will be displayed and available for purchase.
Join us for a heartfelt panel discussion with Marcelo Bengoechea, Pam Sunderman, and Ron Werner, as they reflect on the story, symbolism, and timeless craft that binds this collection together.
Space is limited – RSVP now to attend.
