A rehearsed reading of a new work on queerness and identity from DYKEish.
About this Event

Kit and Amy are both volunteering at the Lesbian Archives.

Kit and Amy both consider themselves lesbians.

Kit and Amy disagree.

Trapped together in an office as a far-right protest goes past, Kit and Amy clash over gender politics, queer labels, and who has the right to decide how identities evolve.

We are excited to present a new piece of work from 5 star theatre and event collective DYKEish. Written by Niamh O'Farrell-Tyler and directed by Vanessa Byrne, WOULD IT HELP IF I TOLD YOU I WAS ONE OF THE GOOD ONES? will be presented as a rehearsed reading to get feedback from the audience in the hopes to further develop the piece into a full scale production! Attendence is free but ticketed, and we highly encourage all attendees to engage with the piece to give us detailed feedback on what we can improve to make this the best piece of theatre it can be.
We are pleased as punch to welcome Amanda O'Farrell and Asa Keyes as the readers bringing Amy and Kit to life in this reading!

Please note this piece contains references to transphobia, homophobia, and violence.
