A Service of Word based on Hebrews 11:29-12:2 It seems in Scripture, people of faith like “Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David and Samuel” (Hebrews 11:32, NLT) were all rewarded for their faith. We like to think being faithful gets a prize, while faithlessness would not be rewarded. However, in our lived experience, it sometimes seems the faithful have a rougher time than the faithless. This conflict is something that was apparent even to the authour of Hebrews, who talked about the real reward of faith. Is that reward something we can experience today?
