Even though our days are shorter in the Winter months we are still going out to adventure on the hills in the evenings. This is the sixth and final of our Full Moon (monthly) Torch Walk series for Winter 2024/25. Wednesday Evening Wanders are likely to return in April. This one is a 4.7 mile / km figure of 8 route from Lobden Golf Club up onto Brown Wardle. This is a tough climb with 205 m / 675ft climb over rough moorland terrain on the Rossendale Way. Our return will take us back along the edge of the moor, on the Rossendale Way and Pennine Bridleway round Rushy Hill. Paths will be varied including some steep grassy sections, moorland grass (potentially boggy) and wider farm tracks.
This route is a little trickier that our other Torch Walks and is therefore suitable for ages 10+.
Well behaved, friendly dogs welcome, however, please use non-retractable leads or keep them short to reduce risk of the leads getting tangled round other participants legs.
Tickets cost £7 per adult / £5 per child. These small-group guided walks are professionally led by a qualified Mountain Leader and Outdoor First Aider / Mental Health First Aider, with full PL insurance.
Details of what to bring and where to meet will be emailed on booking, but please get in touch if you need further details beforehand. We walk in ALL weather, so please do take note of the Kit List that will be sent out on booking.
