Calling all lovers of knitting, crochet, weaving, felting — anything to do with fabulous fibres! Come and join us, along with thousands of makers around the world, for another wonderful World Wide Knit in Public Day on 13th June.Whether you’re a seasoned yarn wizard or just beginning your fibre journey, everyone is welcome! We’ll have some experienced knitters and crocheters on hand to help beginners learn the ropes, pick up new skills, or troubleshoot tricky projects.
We’ll be gathering in the courtyard outside our lovely cooperative shop, Trove Canberra, for a relaxed day of stitching, chatting, creating and connecting with fellow fibre enthusiasts.
There are plenty of lovely nearby cafés where you can grab a cuppa or snack while you stitch.
World Wide Knit in Public Day was created to celebrate knitting and fibre arts as modern, creative and inclusive crafts, bringing people together through a shared love of making. It’s all about building community, sharing skills, sparking creativity, and showing the world that fibre arts are vibrant, social and for everyone.
