The get together is part of an international event called World-Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKiP). It provides an opportunity for like-minded crafters to share techniques, show off their skills, and introduce knitting to the interested.
World Wide Knit In Public Day is being held in conjunction with our monthly Fibers and Flavors. Knitters, crocheters, spinners, and other fiber artists are welcome to participate and enjoy a day of socializing and crafting.
The gathering will be held on the east lawn and participates are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket. Tables and chairs will be setup inside for those who prefer being indoors.
WWKiP Day began in 2005 as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. It’s the largest knitter-run event in the world with each local gathering organized by volunteers.
