About this Event
Join the University of Strathclyde, Scottish Water, and WaterAid for a World Water Day event on the 17th March 2026 exploring the critical intersection of water access and gender equity.
This year's global theme highlights how water challenges disproportionately affect women and girls worldwide. Our event will examine how partnerships between Scotland and international communities – particularly across Africa – are essential to deliver solutions to our shared water challenges.
Through engaging dialogue and interactive sessions, you'll hear from leading voices across industry, the third sector, and academia representing expertise from the UK and African partner institutions. With speakers from RSE, WaterAid, Scottish Water and University of Strathclyde, together we will explore the commonalities in our water challenges, the innovative solutions emerging from collaborative partnerships, and the urgent need for collective action as climate change intensifies pressure on freshwater resources.
