The annual World Press Photo Contest recognises the best photojournalism and documentary photography produced over the last year. Following the announcement of the winners in April, the winning photos then tour the world - going to over 40 countries.
Showcasing stunning and sometime confronting images, the exhibition tells the stories of what has been happening across the globe in the last 12 months. Issues affecting everyday people such as health, war, and climate change are often highlighted.
The Rotary Club of Auckland has been bringing the exhibition to Auckland since 2010, with all profits from the event going to charity.
