World of Work: Learn and Connect Panel

Nurture your passion for meaningful careers in the life sciences sector during this informative and insightful panel discussion! Join The American City Coalition (TACC) for an intimate conversation with industry professionals and leaders of color. Meet the brilliant minds behind the scientific breakthroughs shaping the future, and be inspired by their honest reflections on breaking through barriers and overcoming obstacles to achieve success. This panel will serve as an introduction to the life sciences industry, alongside practical tips and resources to start your journey.

Designed especially for residents of Boston who are new to life sciences or interested in changing careers. This event is for people who are looking to create career or make a career change into biotech and the life sciences.

TACC:

TACC is a Roxbury-based nonprofit tackling community-identified barriers through economic and workforce development, research, and policy strategies that expand pathways to meaningful opportunities in communities of color. At TACC, we believe that cities should work for everyone.

Roxbury Worx:

Our workforce development initiative, Roxbury Worx, focuses on connecting middle-skills and hidden workers from communities of color to career pathways in expanding sectors such as Life Sciences/Biotech, Healthcare, and Climate. Through our engagement efforts, we raise awareness of these industries and equip local residents with the resources and support they need to pursue high-road jobs (e.g., higher wages, predictable annual income, opportunities for advancement, benefits).

This program is supported by a Life Sciences Career Awareness grant from the Mayor's Office of Workforce Development. The Life Sciences Workforce Development Initiative (LSWDI) aims to train and employ Boston residents in life sciences careers . The LSWDI supports the growth of Boston's life sciences workforce.
