World Mental Health Day Yoga with Sarah Hiscock

Take a mindful pause with us for World Mental Health Day—a welcoming space where you can simply show up as you are. No experience, special gear, or expectations required.
The Marine Institute Gymnasium
Parking is Free.
Enter through the front doors or the Marine Institute 155 Ridge Road, St. John's Nl A1C 5R3, we will be set up in the front lobby. The yoga class will take place in the gym.
4:30–5:00 p.m. – Warm Welcome
Drop by early to connect, pick up an affirmation card, and explore resources from the Canadian Mental Health Association and MUN Wellness. You can chat with others, enter a door-prize draw, or simply set up quietly.
5:00–6:00 p.m. – Gentle Yoga Class
Enjoy a slow-flow practice that guides your attention to the here and now, one mindful breath at a time. We’ll begin with grounding breathwork to calm the nervous system, then move through soft, intentional stretches and supportive poses. You’ll be invited to listen to your body, find your own pace, and notice how breath and movement can help still the mind.
This class is about more than stretching, yoga is a chance to reconnect with yourself and build a sense of ease and belonging alongside others.
