Walk Route: From the Carillon along the lake foreshore to Commonwealth ParkAll dachshunds and their humans are welcome to join us for a relaxed and social walk. Participants are encouraged to dress their dogs in costumes or fun outfits to help celebrate the occasion and add to the festive atmosphere.
This year’s World Dachshund Day walk will be raising funds and awareness for ACT Rescue & Foster Inc. (ARF), a Canberra-based volunteer organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in the ACT and surrounding regions. ARF places rescued dogs into foster homes while they await their forever families and works to promote responsible dog ownership throughout the community.
