Max and Whitney live in separate, imaginary worlds—refuges shaped by their personality disorders. When they enroll in a clinical drug trial designed to strip away their delusions, they find each other. As the Medic*tion takes hold and their carefully constructed universes begin to dissolve, they face an impossible choice: will they sacrifice their inner worlds for love, or lose each other to keep their fantasies alive?
An intimate and mind-bending drama about love, mental illness, and the imagination’s power to both protect and transform us.
