World Bee Day Celebration – Reno
Join us for a free community celebration of World Bee Day on Wednesday, May 20, from 2:00–6:00 PM at the park!
World Bee Day, designated by the United Nations, honors the essential role bees and other pollinators play in our food system and local ecosystems. Nearly one-third of the food we eat depends on pollinators, making their protection more important than ever.
This family-friendly event will feature:
• Educational displays about bees and pollinators
• Earth-conscious vendors and environmental organizations
• Information on native plants and pollinator-friendly gardening
• Special guest appearance by the American Honey Queen
• Kids activities including face painting and beeswax candle rolling
• Food trucks and community presentations
Come learn how you can help support pollinators in your own backyard while enjoying an afternoon of community, education, and fun.
Admission is free, but please register so we can plan for attendance.
