About this Event
Join Us for World Barrett’s Day – Public Open Night!
Come along for an in-person evening dedicated to raising awareness and sharing knowledge about Barrett’s Oesophagus.
Meet the researchers and see the Impact of the Barrett's Research, funded through OCF's Lollipop Programme and co-funded through Research Ireland where we will put the spotlight on the diagnosis and monitoring of Barrett's, in our drive to prevent oesophageal cancer. The more people diagnosed and monitored for Barrett's, the less people will go on to develop oesophageal cancer and that is why we fund the Barrett's Registry and Biobank, because knowledge is power.
We are targeting the 35,000 people in Ireland with Barrett's, most of them undiagnosed and unaware. To inform and engage with them, through this Public Open Night, which coincides with World Barrett’s Day.
Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, health professional, a member of the public or simply curious about the science behind Barrett’s oesophagus, the labs will be open for an evening of insight and engagement where Knowledge is Power.
