About Victoria:
Victoria Farasha is a CT native who began dancing at age five with classes in ballet and jazz; later adding hip-hop, modern,
and African dance. Her journey has been one of continual learning and growth, which led her to develop a lifelong love for music, dance, and cultural arts appreciation. In recent years, her practice has been focused mainly on modern hula hoop dance and belly dance, which have quickly become integral and favorite parts of her repertoire.
In 2017, her desire to formalize her belly dance education led her to the studios of the Middle Eastern Dance Academy of CT.
Through the MDA, Victoria built her dance foundation under the instruction and mentorship of Kelvia Mitri-Meda & had the opportunity to train extensively for several months under guest master instructor Pierre Haddad.
Victoria was the 3rd place winner of the Ruby Rising Star category at the 2023 Orlando Belly Dance Convention. She was also the 3rd place winner in her category at Ahlan Wa Sahlan Festival in Cairo, Egypt in 2024 & the first place winner of the Orlando Belly Dance Convention's Ruby Rising Star category that same year.
She is currently a teacher based in Guilford, serving the eastern New Haven County and Shoreline areas of CT where she
promotes soulful & joyful movement, inclusivity, and body positivity.
