Fady is back in the Southcoast headlining Southcoast Raqs on 5/17, so of course, we had to offer workshops with this incredibly talented Lebanese dancer to all of you!
We have two great workshops for you to enjoy: There are only 20 spots in each, so register today!
- Pop Choreography: Fady Style! 11:00 am-1:00 pm & the option to open Southcoast Raqs on 5/17 in a performance with Fady
Learn a fun, playful, and energetic choreography in Fady’s distinctive style. This workshop will focus on musicality, exploring variations, and infusing personal touches and is intended to leave you with a choreography that feels like your own.
**Participants in this workshop have the option of performing this choreography in our show on Sunday.**
- Tuning In: Bringing The Lyrics To Life 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Ever wondered why some songs resonate with audiences at a different level? Or why some performances feel so beautifully connected to the songs they’re interpreting? In this workshop, you will explore a methodical approach to embodying, expressing, and personalizing your interpretation of the stories behind your favorite Arabic songs. We will briefly review theory and dance to a beloved classic to explore and apply these concepts.

About Fady: Fady is a Lebanese dancer whose vibrant and versatile performances exude the joy that belly dance has brought him throughout his life. Fady has performed in Lebanon and several US states, and has been a familiar face in the New England belly dance performing scene.
Through observing regular people dancing in social events, and studying the flamboyant, energetic Lebanese dancers of the ‘90s, Fady’s journey as a student of this dance started in childhood. He has since been studying with a variety of renowned instructors, coaches, and mentors who have instrumentally shaped his art. His style reflects his journey as he effortlessly blends artistry, playfulness, and athleticism overlaying a deep connection to lyrics and music.
Through these workshops, Fady hopes to bring a piece of home to his beloved and incredibly welcoming New England belly dance community.
