Once you've confirmed your participation, it's recommended to attend all classes to make the most of the experience.
10:00 - 11:00 — Yoga for Dancers
This specialized yoga class integrates flexibility, strength, and balance training, essential for optimizing dance performance. By focusing on targeted poses and sequences, dancers can enhance their range of motion, build core and muscular strength, and improve stability and control. Suitable for all dance disciplines and skill levels, this class offers a holistic approach to injury prevention and performance enhancement, ensuring dancers achieve greater artistry and technical precision.
11:30 - 13:30 — Embodying Critical Situation: Improvisation and Composition Workshop
This workshop blends improvisation with martial arts principles. After a warm-up, participants will explore movement practices influenced by kalari payattu and contemporary dance, focusing on breath, speed, and energy. Emphasizing the dancer's relationship with space and others, this workshop encourages expression in confrontational situations, utilizing sensorial perceptions tied to memories. Participants will create scores to trigger physical reactions and let the body lead, fostering emotional awareness. Tasks are designed to disengage the mind, allowing new perspectives and emotional states to emerge as participants navigate through incidents, realizing the fluidity of memory and presence.
