This workshop aims to improve the quality of our touch, followed by an exploration of manual, artistic expression. We use our hands daily - in so many different ways - often with the intention of doing.
How can we relax our hands in just being? Being present with the person or object we touch, being aware of the sensations we feel?
In this workshop we start with developing a listening touch: how to improve sensing and perceiving subtleties under our hands?
We then will use this newfound tactile sensitivity in a creative process, working with clay.
In dialogue with the material, we mold and shape and sculpt, translating emotions and intentions into tangible forms.
In this intimate exchange it’s sometimes the hands, sometimes the clay that guides us into a deeper connection and expression.
