The Art of Textural Painting
Led by Janie Reisler
Join Janie Reisler for this NEW workshop where you will focus on using variations of paints and mediums to learn to paint using texture and novelty surfaces.
Coloration will be more within a neutral pallette and textures will be created with unique combinations of organic and water based compounds. Old world techniques as well as those of modern art trends!
Students will walk away with a ‘ready to varnish’ piece with ‘how to’ instructions once dry.
Students must provide their own canvas, preferably 24" x 24"
Materials included are: Acrylic paint in various bodies and textures, Gel mediums, Pastels, Chalks, Brushes, Water jar, Rags, Stencils, Roller Brushes
This is a workshop for every level of artist from beginner to experienced painter. All materials provided!

11am Workshop Begins
1:30pm Break for Lunch Please bring food or beverage of your choice for the lunch break. Arts Warehouse has a large refrigerator where items may be stored as well as a microwave if needed. Bedner’s Market is just a short walk away with fresh made soups, salads, and sandwiches available as well.
3pm Workshop is dismissed
About the Instructor:
Janie Reisler is a Mixed Media Artist, graphic designer and painter, originally from Montreal, Quebec. She has taught at many art schools, universities and art centres in South Florida, where she currently resides. She holds an honors degree in Art History from McGill University, a degree in graphic design and a certification in fashion illustration and merchandising from Montreal colleges as well. With over 35 years as an owner of a National fashion brand, she is now happily retired and doing what she loves most, teaching unique workshops and art courses in her new home base. By instructing in the intuitive teaching method, she feels her classes bring out the most creative results for her students. Join her workshops that inspire everyone.
