Through interactive exercises, you’ll:
- Discover how to locate grants and assess your readiness to apply
- Explore the basic parts of a grant, with a focus on individual applicants
- Develop a compelling elevator pitch and practice storytelling in small groups
- Identify at least three grants or databases to kickstart your search
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have a good understanding of the grant-writing processand a personalized roadmap and resources to use for future applications.
About the Instructor
Kenya Templeton brings nearly 25 years of corporate marketing and entrepreneurial experience to her teaching. A former Marketing and Visual Merchandising Director with award-winning campaigns, Kenya has since built a career as a creative entrepreneur and has been recognized with fellowships and grants from organizations such as the Arts and Science Council, Charlotte is Creative, Black Creatives Carolina, and the Knight Foundation.
