Workshop: Practical Approach & Preparation to Obtain Tax Agent (S153) LicenseUnder the Income Tax Act 1967, no person shall act as a tax agent, tax consultant, or tax advisor unless licensed under Section 153 of the Act. As of January 2024, there are only 2,312 licensed tax agents in Malaysia, with only a portion actively practising in the industry.
This workshop is designed to provide participants with an overview of the requirements and process for obtaining the Section 153 Tax Agent Licence. Participants will gain insights into the key considerations in preparing their application, as well as practical guidance on how to prepare for the Tax Agent interview conducted by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
