Join Central Chapter of INPS for a Workshop on Composting!

Hey there! Ready to get your hands dirty and learn the magic of turning scraps into rich soil? Our in-person Workshop on Composting is just the place. Whether you're a garden newbie or a green thumb, come hang out, ask questions, and discover easy ways to reduce waste and boost your garden’s health. Bring your energy, and we’ll bring the composting fun!

Fields Market Garden Farm Manager, Kate Sexton, and INPS Central Chapter Past President, Brooke Alford, will provide an educational workshop to look at different composting systems. It is important to find a system that suits your lifestyle and property. There are many options!

Kate is the farm manager at Fields Market Garden and community supporter at North End. Kate's passion for environmental and human health fuels her work in farming for soil health and educating her community.Fields Market Garden is an inclusive, nonprofit urban farm in Carmel, IN growing vegetables and flowers, engaging nearby neighbors with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and cultivating connections.

Brooke is a landscape designer and has been composting for over 25 years. She provides workshops through the Indy Public Library System. She is also a founding board member of the Indiana Composting Council—a state chapter of the US Composting Council, as well as a board member of the Indiana Native Plant Society.

This Workshop event is free, open to the public and hosted by Central Chapter of INPS. Registration in advance is required.

Parking is limited to 14 spots at the Garden with some additional space to park in the driveway, or spots along Smoky Row about 0.25 miles away.
