[WORKSHOP] Mysticism in Music with Imam Hamdani

Join us for an interactive workshop with Imam Hamdani that explores the power, effect and significance of sound in the universe. The workshop will rely on live music performance, group discussion, group exercise, and an overview of mystical music practices from around the world. Through these tools, the participants will see how music and sound connect humans with the divine across different cultures and traditions.

How intently do we listen to sounds in our surroundings but also to our ‘inner ear’? Do we understand ‘Harmony’ in human nature? How deeply can you listen?

No prior experience or knowledge is necessary for participating in this workshop.

About Imam Hamdani:

Hasan Imam Hamdani, a Pakistani-American composer and guitar player is the driving force behind the collaborative global music ensemble, Imam Collective. In 2022, Imam Collective released its debut E.P, "Solitude," under the Australian label ‘Worlds Within Worlds,’ exploring the richness of West African and Indian Classical Music. Hasan Imam’s solo guitar repertoire highlights his diverse influences and innovative approach to adapting various music styles to the guitar.
