Places are limited, register here: https://forms.gle/A4b1mqVKKZ4EUZnQAThe feminist conversation about financial issues is usually focused on the gendered pay gap and unpaid care work, but there is much less discussion about feminist approaches to using money in everyday life. This workshop series invites you to reflect on your personal relationship with money and to place it within a broader social context. In the previous meeting, the discussion focused on the gendered dimension of everyday financial choices.
This time, we will talk about migration: How has the experience of migration affected your relationship with money and your economic situation? Which aspirations are connected to migration? Which new money-related concerns emerge in connection with migration? How do migration, economy and gender intertwine?
This workshop does not engage with the question of how to earn more money. We will not craft abundance talismans, share financial wisdom, or give investment advice. We will discuss how to cope in a capitalist society.
The workshop language is English.
The conversation is facilitated by Airi Triisberg.
The event is supported by the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
